Dr Gokhale did the 1st successful heart transplant, first successful lung transplant and 1st successful implantation of ventricular assist device in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. He has one of the largest experiences in minimally invasive heart surgery in India. So far he has performed 34 heart transplant surgeries in Hyderabad, 3 Lung Transplants in Hyderabad and more than 15,000 open heart surgeries in the both states of Telangana and AP- adult as well as pediatric.
